Dr. Phoebe Tsang DMD
Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry


Dr. Phoebe Tsang is a celebrated pediatric dentist in Fraser Valley region, British Columbia. She combines her dedication in dentistry with her desire to enrich the lives of children and families in and around her communities of Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Langley. She also has a satellite practice in Whitehorse which serves the needs of the remote communities in the North.  You can read more about Dr. Phoebe and her professional achievements below.

Dr. Tsang is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (F.R.C.D.) in Pediatric Dentistry, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a licensed Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry in BC. The Royal College of Dentists of Canada and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry are organizations, which ensure high standards of specialization in the dental profession and recognize properly trained dental specialists through comprehensive qualifying exams.

Dr. Tsang studied Microbiology before she obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. After successfully completing her dental degree, Dr. Tsang entered a Pediatric Dental Residency Training Program at British Columbia’s Children’s Hospital. She then completed a pediatric dentist specialty training program at the University of California, Los Angeles. During her specialty training, she was also enrolled in a graduate program in the School of Dentist where she completed her PhD in oral biology. Her PhD thesis was focused on understanding the disease process of cavity-causing bacteria, Stretococcus mutans.

Outside of the office, Dr. Tsang has a passion for teaching. She has recently been promoted to clinical associate professor at UBC Faculty of Dentistry in recognition for her long term commitment for teaching. She teaches dental students at the University of British Columbia and pediatric dental residents at BC’s Children’s Hospitals. She has pioneered a research project at Children’s hospital to improve access of care and dental experience for patients with autism and her research was recently published in the Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry. She is also actively involved in various study clubs. You can find Dr. Tsang presenting at numerous continuing education courses for other dental and health care professionals.

Dr. Tsang was truly humbled by receiving the BCDA Merit award in recognition of her care for children, especially those who have special needs. She has also been nominated as honourary members for the American College of Dentist (www.acd.org) and International College of Dentists (www.icd.org) and she will be accepting the honours in October 2016 and May 2017.

Pediatric dentist Dr. Army Bellamy in AbbotsfordDr. Amy Bellamy obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Food, Nutrition and Health and subsequently completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Upon graduation, Dr. Bellamy completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

Outside of the office, Dr. Bellamy enjoys traveling, running and spending time with her husband, family and friends. Dr. Bellamy grew up on Vancouver Island and is excited to be working in the Lower Mainland.

Dr. Winnie Zhao is a Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree and her Doctor of Medical Dentistry from Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Zhao further pursued her interest in Pediatric Dentistry by working as a resident at the British Columbia Children’s Hospital. She also worked in private practices in Vancouver and Richmond for quite a few years before she completed her post-graduate studies: her Master of Science and Diploma of Pediatric Dentistry at UBC. She definitely comes with lots of clinical experience!
Dr. Zhao enjoys playing violin at her free time. She is also an expert oil painting artist. You can see one of her master pieces at our clinic.
Dr. Zhao shares our practice philosophy of providing patient centered restorative dentistry for all our patients. She also shares our strong belief in preventive dentistry and parents education. We are confident that you will find comfort in Dr. Zhao’s compassionate personality and gentle manners.
